In Their Words

Chris Pollard -- Head Coach, Duke University

"I had the great privilege of coaching Sarkis Ohanian at Duke University. I watched Sarkis grow from a young player trying to find the strike zone (along with his role on our staff), into one of the top relief pitchers in all of college baseball as a senior, culminating as a 9th round draft pick by the Cincinnati Reds. Along the way, Sarkis embodied all the qualities you look for in a student-athlete: commitment, work ethic, perseverance, and integrity (both on the field and in the classroom).

It is my hope that the Phoenix Scholarship gives young players the opportunity to live out their dream of pursuing a great education and playing college baseball at the highest level! With 11.7 scholarships in Division I baseball, families need all the help they can get.

When we are out on the recruiting trail, we are always looking for that next Sarkis Ohanian."

John Casey -- Head Coach, Tufts University

"Berg Ohanian and Time to Sign Sports are synonymous with quality and integrity. I have known Berg for a long time and value his opinion not only on as player’s abilities but on his character and fit for our program. This scholarship effort is another example of great vision and the desire to lift people up and allow all to pursue great opportunities that they might otherwise not be aware of. Thanks Berg and TTS for helping make a difference."

Dr. Perry Bard -- Highland Beach, FL

"Berg knew early on that there is a price to pay for anything of true value in life. That price is commonly known as hard work. His ability to embrace it and to lead by example is one of his many gifts. That comes from where he grew up and & whom he grew up with.

His son Sarkis has taken those gifts passed down and has taken it to another level. Often we hear the term "gifted". When we do, we often think of great academic students & scholars as well as great athletes. Often people will look at these individuals and feel that things came a little easier to them. No, his gift is what has been handed down from his grandfather and his father. A work ethic that is simply unmatched. Sarkis decided early on that he would (much like his dad) simply "outwork" EVERYBODY!!!

Sarkis has taken all the goodness that has been shared with him and has made it his life's mission (just like his dad) to simply "lead by example" & to share the qualities of what it takes to be ultimately successful to those lucky enough to know him."
